As always numbers are limited so if you fancy capturing on camera a little history of the Strutt family while walking off that Christmas pudding please register your interest through the contact form below. A more detailed itinerary will then be sent out to all participants prior to the event.

A full programme of walks for 2012 will be coming soon…

May I take this opportunity of thanking you all for your support throughout 2011 and wishing you a happy and healthy New Year.

Gallery: December

We had two themes this month “Leaves” and “Weather” and as a result there are two Images of the Month for December.

The first image I have chosen is for “Leaves” and by Geoff, who has been doing a little experimenting with the computer! I love the texture and simplicity of this photograph, and while I feel there is a certain poignancy to the image, Geoff also evokes warmth through the clever use of his palette of moody colours.

For our “Weather” theme we had a fantastic mixture of blue skies, stormy clouds and misty mornings, with a special mention and well done to our newest and youngest member Ollie, for sharing his first landscape photograph with us.

However, as soon as I saw Jan’s picture I smiled, as childhood memories came flooding back. We have all been there, children, wellies and muddy puddles, perfect! Great interpretation Jan.

Please do take a look at the Gallery for more images from our December session.

Ps from Colin…

I received an email from Colin on Tuesday, in which he sent me this photograph taken on a walk with his daughter. Unfortunately he wasn’t able to send it through in time for Monday evening’s meeting and our “weather” theme, but it’s a wonderful picture which should be shared.

Caught in a blizzard at Froggatt Edge, Colin still visualised beauty in the landscape as he captured on camera his cold, bleak and wintery scene.
