What a fantastic start to our 2016/17 Season at Ockbrook, as we welcomed back professional photographer James Davies, this time for a practical session, giving members the opportunity to learn a little more about lighting equipment and use of off-camera flash, for both indoor and outdoor portrait photography.
The time flew by and great fun was had by all. James is not only a fantastic teacher, full of knowledge, but a real ‘people person’, putting everyone at ease with a few cheeky laughs along the way. Big thanks James from all your friends at Ockbrook and also big thanks to your beautiful and very patient models Taylor and Georgia, what a super night we all had.
Here’s a few results from a number of our members, with subtle differences in some of the images from colour, crop and pose to the lighting, but what is particularly interesting is the expressions, from the natural off guard moments to the more formal portraits, all of which, can potentially affect the viewers senses in very different ways.
James is to be recommended to other photography groups and for more information about him, his portfolio of work and training days please take a moment to look at his website.
