Well next weekend (23rd and 24th September) marks the 10th Derby Feste event around Derby City Centre. As in the past, the event features lots of free street entertainment as well as pay to enter events and provides loads of opportunity for street photography.
If you would like to meet with other members of the Ockbrook Image Club and capture some of these events as part of a group, then we will be meeting at 12.00 outside Derby Quad in the Market Place on Saturday 24th.
A number of events will be starting in the Market Place from 12.00 with other events around the Cathedral as well as the Market Place. If previous years are anything to go by, there should be plenty of opportunities for some unusual street photography.
Obviously, you can make your own arrangements if you prefer, but I certainly recommend you give it a go.
You can find information about the Feste here:
Almost any camera will do for an event like this. I would recommend you don’t try and use a tripod. It is likely to be busy and unless you have something very specific in mind, a tripod is only likely to get in the way. Hope to see you on Saturday.
